RFEL Ltd was established in 1999 to advance high-speed real-time digital signal processing technology. Since that date, the company has grown rapidly while remaining focused on using leading-edge hardware and its patented proprietary design techniques, to achieve that real-time signal processing performance required by today's most advanced defense & security, wireless communications, instrumentation, and video & image applications.

As specialists in high speed and low power signal processing for Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), RFEL provides FPGA System Design Services and Consultancy. RFEL delivers bespoke Turnkey Signal Processing Solutions, including FPGA based PCB assemblies, and all system firmware and any Software-APIs required, in addition to its award winning and industry proven off-the -shelf FPGA IP Cores.

The company's products are supplied worldwide, and in the defense market specifically, are relevant to airborne, land and naval applications. The novel technology solutions offered by RFEL are highly relevant to current and future EW (Electronic Warfare) receiver programmes. Another major application area is in the design of satellite communications monitoring systems, where the company applies its unique signal channelization capabilities.

Furthermore, the company has recently launched a range of highly optimized video processing solutions to address the high demands of defense & security electro-optical sensor markets. RFEL’s team of 21 staff, including 5 Phd. qualified engineers, are drawn from across industry and are highly experienced with over 300 man years of industrial experience.
