Overview
--------
This package contains the various firmware images used for the Solarflare 
adapters.


Supported ESXi Versions
-----------------------
Solarflare Firmware VIB supports ESXi 6.5 and 6.7.

Supported hardware platforms

Firmware images for the following Solarflare adapters are packaged:

- Solarflare Server Adapters:
  - SFN8522M Dual Port SFP+
  - SFN8041 Single Port QSFP+  
  - SFN8042 Dual Port QSFP+ 
  - SFN8522 Dual Port SFP+ 
  - SFN8542 Dual Port QSFP+ 
  - SFN8722 Dual Port SFP+ OCP 
  - XtremeScale X2522 (10G) PCIe Dual Port SFP28
  - XtremeScale X2522-25G PCIe Dual Port SFP28
  - XtremeScale X2541 PCIe Single Port QSFP28
  - XtremeScale X2542 PCIe Dual Port QSFP28
  - XtremeScale X2552 OCP 2.0 Dual Port SFP28
  - XtremeScale X2562 OCP 3.0 Dual Port SFP28


Installation
------------
For installation, follow standard VMware process for installing VIB. If a previous
version of the VIB is already installed, then uninstall using VIB "-remove" option 
before installing the new version.

Guide" (part number SF-103837-CD) which is available as a PDF from 
<https://support.solarflare.com/>.

Usage
-----
 ~ Installation of the VIB installs the firmware image at a fixed location on 
   the host
 ~ Update of the firmware images on the Solarflare adapter cards is performed 
   using Solarflare ESXi ESXCLI Extension For Native Driver (SF-120773-LS)

Firmware versions
-----------------
This version of firmware VIB contains the following firmware versions for SFN8xxx and X2xxx adapter families:

  - Controller firmware           v8.0.0.1015  
  - BootROM image                 v5.2.2.1006	
  - UEFI driver                   v2.9.6.3   
  - Board support micro firmware  v2.1.1.1028
  - Bundle firmware               v8.0.1.1002 (for X2xxx adapters only)
