SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) is collaborating with Fox Networks to present an All Programmable IP-based Broadcast Network for professional broadcast systems at the annual SMPTE Technical Conference in Hollywood, CA. This joint technology presentation and demonstration will showcase single-chip implementation of the transport layer, using Xilinx SmartCORE™ IP for SMPTE 2022 video over IP, with real-time video processing using the Xilinx Real-Time Video Engine (RTVE) and OmniTek Scalable Video Processor (OSVP). Merging these existing and commercially available sub-systems into a proof-of-concept design provides a reference to the broadcast industry on how it can enable the transformation of the broadcast studio.
