AMD Alveo™ U280 Engineering Sample (ES) Data Center accelerator cards are designed to meet the constantly changing needs of the modern Data Center. Built on the AMD 16nm UltraScale+™ architecture, Alveo U280 ES offers 8GB of HBM2 410 GB/s bandwidth to provide high-performance, adaptable acceleration for memory-bound, compute intensive applications including database, analytics, and machine learning inference. The U280 ES acceleration card includes PCI Express 4.0 support to leverage the latest server interconnect infrastructure for high-bandwidth host processors.
Alveo accelerator cards are adaptable to changing acceleration requirements and algorithm standards, capable of accelerating any workload without changing hardware, and reduce overall cost of ownership.
The Alveo U280 ES1 Data Center Accelerator cards can be utilized for application development and prototyping. The U280 ES1 cards include a USB cable and right angle auxiliary power cable for developers.
For production Alveo U280 information, see the Alveo U280 production card page.

Try NowDownload the Xilinx Runtime and Deployment Shell, then follow the Getting Started and Installation Guide to install and setup your card.
The Xilinx runtime (XRT) is a low level communication layer (APIs and drivers) between the host and the card.
IMPORTANT: Please enter the following command before installing the XRT:
RedHat:
$ sudo yum-config-manager --enable rhel-7-server-optional-rpms
$ sudo yum install -y https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
CentOS:
$ sudo yum install epel-release
The deployment target platform is the communication layer physically implemented and flashed into the card.
If you are a developer, download these additional files then follow the Getting Started Guide to install.
The target platform for development is required if you are building your own applications.
The AMD SDAccel IDE provides a framework for developing accelerated applications.
