What’s Inside the Box

What You’ll Need to Provide

Our Basic Accessory Pack has all the items listed below, or you can choose to use your own:

  • Barrel Jack Power supply (12V, 3A)
  • MicroSD card [16GB UHS-1]
  • Micro-USB to USB-A cable
  • AR1335 IAS camera module
  • Ethernet cable
  • HDMI cable to connect to a monitor

Use of a USB keyboard is optional. Instead of an AR1335 camera module, you can use a USB camera/webcam. The Starter Kit also has a DisplayPort interface if you want to use it instead of HDMI.

To begin, a computer with internet connection and with the ability to write to a microSD card is needed.

Linux OS Options

There are two Linux OS options for using the KV260.

Ubuntu 20.04 + Ubuntu AI Demos - New
 
  • Enable a desktop-like experience without the need of connecting to a laptop/PC.
  • Access to rich set of third-party software libraries in the Ubuntu community.
  • Run the NLP-SmartVision demo out-of-the box .(more accelerated apps from the Kria App Store will be made compatible over time.)
PetaLinux 2021.1 + Accelerated Applications
 
  • Obtain everything necessary to customize, build, and deploy Embedded Linux solutions on Xilinx processing systems .
  • Offers baseline for full customization via Yocto layers and corresponding PetaLinux Starter Kit BSP.
  • Aligned with the PetaLinux production SOM enablement in the K26 SOM BSP.
  • Run all the accelerated applications available in the Kria App Store. (current instructions are specific to PetaLinux based apps)
