3.1i CORE Generator - Opening XCO file through ISE changes widths on Dual-Port Block Memory

Keywords: COREGen, core, XCO, ISE, Dual, Port, Block, Memory, RAM, width, depth

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When I open an XCO file through ISE, the widths on Dual Port Block Memory v3.1 are changed.

For example, I generate 12x2048 Symmetrical Block RAM with Write on A, Read on B, and Enables on both. When I double-click on the generated XCO file from ISE, the A width-x-depth stays the same; however, B becomes 48x512, and there is no way to change it back to 12x2048. (The XCO and EDN files remain the same unless the core is regenerated.)

To work around this problem, create a new core rather than double-clicking on the XCO file and editing it. If you avoid regeneration, the XCO file and EDN files remain in the original configuration.
