4.1i Install - After installing tools from the CD, they do not launch, or a "Command not found" error is issued (UNIX environment)

Keywords: Install, temp, tmp, environment, variable

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When I try to launch my tools after I have installed the tools from the CD, either nothing works, or a "command not found" error is issued.

(This occurs in UNIX environment setups for Sun OS, Solaris, and HP using C-shell (csh) or KornShell (ksh)).

You must set the $xilinx environment variables before running the tools. You can do this by typing "source settings.csh" or "source settings.sh," which is created for you during the installation.

You can also manually edit your shell script to set the environment variable for $xilinx to the directory in which the tools were installed. Please refer to your 4.1i Installation and Release Notes for more information.
