When I run 4.1i CORE Generator in a stand-alone environment, the SINE/COSINE LOOK UP TABLE v3.0 is not generated when the BLOCK ROM memory type is selected. Errors similar to the following are reported:
"CORE Generator Error: Sim has a problem implementing the selected core. Implementation netlist will not be generated."
"CORE Generator Warning: Not all output products were generated successfully. Please check the console or coregen.log for details."
The following errors appear in the CORE Generator command window:
"ERROR: An internal error has occurred. To resolve this error, please consult the Answers Database at http://support.xilinx.com ERROR: Sim has a problem implementing the selected core. Implementation netlist will not be generated. ERROR: SimGenerator: Failure of Sim to implement customization parameters core test. ERROR: Did not generate EDIF implementation netlist (.EDN) file for core <test>.Generating the .VHO/.VHD simulation support files... WARNING: Warnings and/or errors encountered while generating test (Sine-Cosine Look-Up Table 3.0) All output products requested may not have been generated. WARNING: Not all output products were generated successfully. Please check the console or coregen.log for details. ERROR: Elaboration failure for core Sine-Cosine Look-Up Table. ERROR: Elaboration of core Sine-Cosine Look-Up Table failed."
This problem occurs because the TRIG_RAM.MIF file has not copied to the current project directory.
1. Copy the TRIG_RAM.MIF file form the %XILINX%\bin\nt directory into the project directory.
2. Re-generate the core.
1. Open an MS-DOS box and change directories (cd) to the project directory.
2. Start CORE Generator by typing "coregen" at the DOS prompt.
3. Generate the core.
Call up COREGen via the Project Navigator interface, and use it as part of the normal design flow.
Solution 4 This problem has been fixed in the Sin-Cosine Look UP Table v4.0, which is available with 4.1i IP Update #1 (E_IP1).
