4.1i Install - Sourcing the "settings.sh" file does not set the environment variables correctly for Bourne Shell users

General Description:
When I source settings.sh in the Bourne Shell, the $Xilinx environment variables are not set correctly. (This problem occurs on Solaris and HP Workstations.)

Solution

This occurs because the "settings.sh" file created by the 4.1i installer has a syntax error. Bourne Shell users should edit the settings.sh file as follows:

NOTE: This Answer Record is applicable to 4.1i CD installations only. This issue is fixed in the 4.2i software release, which is currently scheduled for February, 2002.
