4.1i sp3 ISE - After Service Pack 3 is installed, I cannot launch the Synplify process from Project Navigator

General Description:
After I install Service Pack 3, the processes that launch the Synplify or Synplify Pro GUI in Project Navigator ES3 fail to start. I can see the application begin to start up (the GUI flashes for a moment), but it then disappears. (It is not in the task bar, but I can see the process running in the "Process" tab of my task manager.)

(Synplify will run correctly in stand-alone mode.)


A patch that will fix this issue is located at:

The zip file contains five .fdk files that must be placed in the $XILINX\data directory (replacing the existing files).
This patch should only be used for ISE 4.1i with Service Pack 3 (4.1.03i) on PC Windows based platforms.

This issue will be fixed in the 4.2i software release that is scheduled for the end of February, 2002.
