General Description:

The data sheet I/O section of my timing report does not take clock phase shift into account, while OFFSETs do.

Solution

After 4.2i Service Pack 1, fixed phase shift will not affect the data sheet I/O timing.

Prior to 4.2i SP1, fixed phase shift was incorrectly included in the clock delay. It is now handled as clock phase in the same way as all other clocks with phase shifting. The data sheet I/O timings do not take clock phase into account. Therefore, the fixed phase shift will not be represented in the data sheet I/O timing; instead, it will be handled in the OFFSET constraint.

The current timing software takes phase shift into account as clock phase rather than clock delay.
