General Description: During implementation on a machine running the German version of windows, the log file is filled with the following warning messages:
"WARNING: Deutsch is not supported as a language. Using usenglish."
Even if this is the case (i.e., if German Windows is not supported), thousands of occurrences of this warning should not be reported, as this makes searching for genuine warnings very difficult.
Version 5.1i of the software has been fixed to give only one such informational message when appropriate.
To work around this problem:
1. Make a copy of the LibPortabilility.dll for back-up purposes. 2. Locate the line in the DLL that contains "<language> .... is not supported. Using usenglish." 3. Replace the string "%s is not supported..." in the DLL with "whitespace" characters (00h). 4. Replace the original DLL with the new modified DLL. (Be sure that it contains the correct name.)
A reserved environment variable called "LANGUAGE" exists in UNIX. Verify that this is set to the correct value (i.e., usenglish).
