Solution

Power estimates for the version 4.0 SPI 4.2 (PL4) core (excluding device quiescent power) are as follows:

200 MHz

Sink = 1.02W

Source = 0.941W

175 MHz

Sink = 0.895W

Source = 0.893W

NOTE: The above numbers do not include Device Quiescent Power, which, for the 2v6000FF1152, is 0.507W

Given these, you may compute your requirements as illustrated below (note that the information adds linearly, as one would expect):

1) 3 SPI 4.2 (PL4) cores operating at full-duplex:

200MHz : 1.02*3 + 0.941*3 + 0.507 = 6.39W

175MHz : 0.895*3 + 0.893*3 + 0.507 = 5.871W

2) 2 SPI 4.2 (PL4) Rx cores, 1 SPI 4.2 (PL4) Tx core
