LogiCORE CORDIC v1.0 - The CORDIC v1.0 data sheet contains several errors

Keyword: CORDIC, data sheet, datasheet, max range, Pi, Sin, Cos, square root

The CORDIC core v1.0 data sheet contains several errors. These errors and their corrections are listed below.

1. Figure 6 is titled "Polar to Rectangular"

This figure should be titled "Rectangular to Polar".

2. Table 1 lists the maximum range of X_OUT and Y_OUT as Sqrt2/2, and Table 2 lists the max range of X_OUT as Sqrt2/2.

These values should be listed as "Sqrt2".

3. Table 3 lists the X_OUT description as Sin (input angle), and the Y_OUT as Cos (input angle).

This should be listed as X_OUT = Cos (input angle), Y_OUT = Sin (input angle).

4. The example for the square root function is listed as:

i.e., X_IN = 01001001 then X_OUT = 01000100

This should be listed as:

i.e., X_IN = 01001001 then X_OUT = 01100001

5. Table 10 lists +Pi/8 = 001100100 and -Pi/8 = 110011011.

The table should list the values +Pi/8 and -PI/8 as +Pi/4, and -P/4.

Please see (Xilinx Answer 29570) for a detailed list of LogiCORE CORDIC Release Notes and Known Issues.
