5.1i MPPR - "Error copying 'c:\project_directory/mppr_result.dir/ design_0_0_0/design.dly': no such file or directory..."

Description

Keywords: 5.1i, multi pass, multipass, MPPR, Project Navigator

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When I run MPPR in Project Navigator, the following error is reported:

"Error copying "c:\project_directory/mppr_result.dir/design_0_0_0/design.dly": no such file or directory
while executing
"file copy -force $_Src $_Dest"
("foreach" body line 4)
invoked from within
"foreach _Ext { dly ncd pad par xpi } {
set _Src $BestResultDirName/$iv_ModuleName.$_Ext
set _Dest $iv_ProjectDir/$iv_ModuleName.$_E..."
invoked from within
"if { $ErrorCode } {
puts "Error: par failed"
puts "Reason: $ErrMsg"
set RetVal 1
} else {
set DirnamePrefix ${iv_ModuleName}_
file copy..."
(file "C:/ISE/data/projnav/scripts/postmppr.tcl" line 104)

This error occurs after Multi-Pass Place and Route is run.

Solution

This error occurs when Project Navigator attempts to copy the best results to the project directory. In spite of the error, the Multi-Pass Place and Route process has completed successfully, and the valid results are stored in the "mppr_result" directory.

Alternatively, the error will not occur when Multi-Pass Place and Route is run via the command line.

This issue will be fixed in the 5.2i software release, which will be available in late February, 2003.
