3.1 EDK - How do I write a value to a PPC general-purpose register through XMD?

Description

General Description:

How do I write a value to a PPC general-purpose register through XMD?

Solution

After downloading the bitstream (with the appropriate jtag_ppc controller instance in the design) to the FPGA and executing XMD, you must connect XMD to the PPC target as follows:

XMD% ppcconnect

Then, use the register write command ("rwr") to write the value to the general-purpose register. For example, if you want to write to general-purpose register 31 with 0x0000000a, run:

XMD% rwr 31 0xa
