System Generator for DSP - Why do I get an error specifying that my ModelSim block cannot call ModelSim for my HDL Co-Simulation?

Description

Why do I get an error specifying that my ModelSim block cannot call ModelSim for my HDL Co-Simulation? When HDL Co-Simulation with ModelSim block has been tried, I cannot start the ModelSim which has a valid license.

Solution

If you have several versions of ModelSim on your computer, you have to modify your environment variable. In the PATH variable, you have to put the path to the ModelSim version you want to use for HDL Co-Simulation first in your path. When ModelSim block is used, MATLAB seeks the PATH and tries to use the first ModelSim path listed.
