6.2i COREGenerator - COREGen incorrectly states that a ".bmm" file is generated with Memory Cores

Keywords: COREGen, CoreGen, Memory, cores, generate, BMM, bmm, file, 6.2

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When generating a memory core (e.g., CAM, Dual/SinglePort BRAM, Distributed Memory), COREGen indicates that it has generated a ".bmm" file. However, no ".bmm" file is found in the project directory.

Example COREGen Log:

Preparing to elaborate core...
Elaborating the module...
Generating the core .EDN implementation netlist...
Generating the .BMM file...
Successfully generated <test_dist> (Distributed Memory 6.0)

The COREGenlog file message is incorrect and should be ignored.

BMM files are not currently used by any IP cores, nor are there any COREGen cores planned that use BMM files. This option will be removed from the project options in the 7.1i software release.
