7.1i LogiCORE - Multiplier version 6.0 sets unsigned port type to signed during recustomization

Description

Keywords: mult_gen_v6_0, input

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When I use Multiplier Core version 6.0 to set both input ports to "unsigned" during recustomization, the B port type is set to "signed." This can be seen in the ".xco" file:

CSET port_b_data = Signed

If the core is opened in the customization GUI, this will happen even if no settings are changed.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

Solution

This problem has been fixed in Multiplier 7.0.

To avoid the problem using Multiplier 6.0:
- If no changes are being made to the settings, use the regenerate process instead of recustomize.
- If changes need to be made to the core, select the "signed" option for Port B and then re-select the "unsigned" option.

If this problem has already occurred, recustomize the core and reselect "unsigned" for Port B.
