XtremeDSP Development Kit - Can I change the bank voltage by reprogramming the programmable power supply on the XtremeDSP Development Kit?

Description

General Description:

Can I change the bank voltage by reprogramming the programmable power supply on the XtremeDSP Development Kit?

Solution

The PPS unit on the XtremeDSP Development Kit is a programmable power supply that provides the voltage levels for the FPGA core and all IO headers. It is used across Nallatech's entire product range. This is because of the differing needs in terms of power for different boards. However, it is not as simple as 're-programming' the unit to alter the voltage levels; to alter the levels also requires a firmware change for the board.

This option is not available for the XtremeDSP Development Kit.

Nallatech does offer this for some of their other boards. If you would like this capability, please contact Nallatech to find out which boards support this feature.
