7.1i ISE Incremental Design Flow - "An error occured while executing %XILINX%/data/projnav/scripts/TclFileWrapper4Halite.tcl..."

Keywords: Project Navigator, failed, run, dpm_maprun, MAP, PAR, Guide Mode, nc1TOncd_tcl

In a design that previously implemented successfully, when I select the Enable Incremental Design Flow property in the Incremental Design Properties tab, the following error occurs:

"An error occurred while executing C:\Xilinx/data/projnav/scripts/TclFileWrapper4Halite.tcl
Process TclFileWrapper4Halite.tclk dpm_mapRun __projnav/sumrpt_tcl.rsp failed with code:00199"

The error occurs immediately after the MAP phase appears to be finished. However, the MAP process is marked with a red X.

If I continue with the Place and Route process (since map.ncd is successfully generated), the following error message occurs after pad generation and before the static timing analyzer is run:

"Process 'TclFileWrapper4Halite.tcl dpm_parRun __projnav/nc1TOncd_tcl.rsp __projnav/sumrpt_tcl.rsp' failed with code:00199."

Install the latest Service Pack to use Incremental Design in 7.1i.

This problem has been fixed in the latest 7.1i Service Pack available at:
The first service pack containing the fix is 7.1i Service Pack 1.
