How often does the MAP core send the management frames?
The GFP ITU-T specification requires that management frames be sent out at a specific frequency. In the GFP core, you can change the frequency by changing the timer (csf counter in register MAP GFP_CTRL). During normal operation, the core will insert management frames as specified by the channel-specific registers (CHANx_GFP_REGISTER_B) every time the csf timer expires. However, writing to the csf counter register will cause management frames (as specified by CHANx_GFP_REGISTER_B) to be sent immediately to ensure that the maximum interval between management frames is not exceeded. Following the write to this register, management frames will once again be inserted every time the csf counter expires.
