When a XC3S500E is in the JTAG chain, the following error occurs when I try to initialize the chain, assign a bit file, or generate an SVF in iMPACT:
"ERROR:IMPACT:1111 - Can't locate bsdl file xc3s500e.bsd"
This problem is fixed in 7.1i Service Pack 3:
1. Simply adding the BSDL file in 7.1i SP2 does not work since iMPACT does not have the proper .acd file support.
2. The -g es<> BitGen option does not need to be set when generating bitstreams from XC3S500E parts in 7.1i SP3. For more information, please see (Xilinx Answer 21023)
