8.1i iMPACT - Windows cannot install the Platform Cable USB


I connect my Platform Cable USB to my PC, and the Windows Found New Hardware Wizard appears.

I click the Next button in the Wizard, and I then receive the following message:

"Cannot Install this Hardware."

If this message appears, iMPACT will not connect to the cable.

Why does this occur?


The cable might be a low-power or low-power/lead-free version of the Platform Cable USB.

If the Windows Found New Hardware Wizard is in the state shown in Figure 2, close the Wizard by clicking Cancel.
