When I tried to configure an IP core in the System Assembly View window in the XPS GUI, the Configure IP dialogue does not appear and the XPS GUI window locks up. It appears that the Configure IP GUI has been launched. However, the window cannot be seen on the screen.
In order to fix the issue, you will have to open your registry settings and delete the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xilinx\EDK\10.1\Platform Studio\Settings\MdtGui::GreenIPDialogPlacement." You can do this by following the steps below:
1. Close all open instances of the XPS tools
2. Open the Registry Editor for Windows
3. Navigate to the location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xilinx\EDK\10.1\Platform Studio\Settings
4. Select the Key Name - MdtGui::GreenIPDialogPlacement and delete it
5. Reopen the tools
