10.1 System Generator for DSP - Why am I unable to see the expected behavior after recompiling the C-code for my EDK Processor block when the EDK project uses SDK for compilation?

I am using the "Compile and update bitstream" button on my hardware co-simulation block to update changes to the c-code in the EDK Processor block. When I run this process the ".bit" file is updated, but the changes are not reflected in the hardware co-simulation.

This problem is due to a known limitation with EDK projects configured to use SDK for their software projects. System Generator does not have access to the location of the ".elf" file used by the SDK project and might update the bistream with a previously generated ".elf" file.

In order to use the "Compile and update bitstream" button to update the C-code compiled into the ".elf" file and ".bit" file, the EDK project must use EDK for software project managment.

This will be resolved in a future release of System Generator.
