When I attempt to initialize a chain in iMPACT, my non-Xilinx devices are not recognized and I see the following messages in the console:
INFO:iMPACT:477 - The bsdl for device 'unknown' is out of date. Please check your installation.
INFO:iMPACT:583 - '2': The idcode read from the device does not match the idcode in the bsdl File.
INFO:iMPACT:1578 - '2': Device IDCODE : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
INFO:iMPACT:1579 - '2': Expected IDCODE: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
INFO:iMPACT:477 - The bsdl for device 'unknown' is out of date. Please check your installation.
There are non-Xilinx devices in the JTAG chain.
How do I work around this issue?
To work around this issue, you need to manually define the JTAG chain.
Note: Take care to add the devices in the correct order.
This issue is scheduled to be resolved in iMPACT 11.3.
