Description

How can I configure the reset for a multi-processor XMD session?

Solution

Following is an example XMD session managing four MicroBlaze processors:

# connect to each slave and disable reset on run for that processor
connect mb mdm -debugdevice cpunr 2; debugconfig -reset_on_run processor disable;
connect mb mdm -debugdevice cpunr 3; debugconfig -reset_on_run processor disable;
connect mb mdm -debugdevice cpunr 4; debugconfig -reset_on_run processor disable;
# connect to master and enable reset on run for whole system
connect mb mdm -debugdevice cpunr 1; debugconfig -reset_on_run processor disable;
debugconfig -reset_on_run system enable;
# connect to slaves, stop them and upload the code
