I am attempting to perform Indirect BPI Programming with iMPACT using the Standalone Programming tools, but it does not work.
What am I doing wrong?
The current required files for Indirect BPI Programming with iMPACT was left out of the Standalone Programming Tools for 11.1. In 11.1, a new optimized design was created for Indirect BPI Programming. The design should be in the ".../virtex5/data" folder with the device name appended by "_jbpi.cor". This file is present in the ISE tools install.
To work around this problem, you can have iMPACT use the older Indirect BPI Programming design by renaming that file to the new file name. The old design is located in the same folder with the same name except it is appended by "_bpi.cor". Rename this "_bpi.cor" file to "_jbpi.cor" and iMPACT will pick up this design.
This issue is fixed in 12.1.
