The "xlicmgr report" command can be used to check what, if any, license status exists within an NGD, NGC, or NCD netlist.
This allows a user to determine which cores in a design are licensed or what level (e.g. evel, design linking, full, etc...) of license a core was generated with.
In some cases "xlicmgr report" reports that there is no license found in the netlist (as in the example below), yet XST, NGDBUILD, or bitgen will report that there is a licensed core in the design.
If an IP core was generated before 10.1i, "xlicmgr report" will not be able to detect the license information.
The license information key that "xlicmgr report" looks for was first added in ISE tools 10.1. All cores generated inCORE Generator10.1i or later software should contain the proper information. Cores generated with prior releases of CORE Generator may still have license restrictions, but the license status will not be recognized by "xlicmgr report."
