12.1/12.2 Timing Report - The TIG Hold Time Analysis Does Not Affect the Timing Score

Description

The hold time anlaysis for TIG constraints does not affect the timing score and the total number of timing errors. You might see a 0 timing score in the Design summary/Timing summary, but there are still red Xs showing timing errors in the HTML timing report:

Solution

TIG should not report hold time violations. Therefore, the timing score is correct and the TIG hold time errors can be ignored.

This has been fixed in ISE Design Suite 12.3. The 'Slack (hold path)' in the TIG constraints will be changed to 'Delay (hold path)', therefore, the negative value will no longer be shown as an error.
