When I generate an IP core, the following error occurs:
"Initialising IP model...
ERROR:coreutil - ERROR:sim - Component name must be different from the core name.
ERROR:sim - Failed to initialise IP model."
Why do I receive an error about the component name?
In ISE Design Suite 12.1, several IP cores were given a default component name that was the same as their internal core name. This causes an illegal HDL structure and the core synthesis, and generation fails.
To correct the problem, change the component name. Once this change is made, the core should generate without errors.
This issue has been resolved in ISE Design Suite 12.2.
