MIG v3.6, Spartan-6 MCB - Does the MCB support Dynamic ODT?
Description
Dynamic ODT is a new feature in DDR3 and enables the DRAM to switch between high or low termination impedance without issuing a mode register set command.
Dynamic ODT is typically used in multi-rank systems to terminate a rank to a low impedance value (30 or 40 Ohm) when in an idle condition and to a greater termination impedance when it is being accessed during a write operation.
Solution
Because it is typically used in multi-rank systems, dynamic ODT is not supported by the Spartan-6 FPGA MCB.
