LogiCORE IP 10-Gigabit Ethernet MAC v11.1 - When Inband FCS and WAN or IFG Delay are enabled, extra bytes of IFG are occasionally transmitted

Description

Currently, when Inband FCS is enabled and back-to-back frames are being transmitted, extra IFG bytes could be transmitted:

  • When WAN mode is on, the 10-Gigabit Ethernet MAC v11.1 occasionally transmits an extra 4 to 8 bytes of IFG with Inband FCS.
  • When IFG delay is used, the 10-Gigabit Ethernet MAC v11.1 occasionally transmits an extra 4 to 8 bytes of IFG with Inband FCS.

Solution

This issueis being investigated for a fix in a future revision of the core.
