13.1 ChipScope IBERT GTH - Analyzer GUI hangs or becomes unresponsive when I access try to connect to a 12 channel core


When I attempt to connect to my GTH IBERT Design in the ChipScope Pro Analyzer, the GUI becomes unresponsive and sometimesthe following message appears multiple times in the console:

"ERROR - Device 1 Unit 1_0:Invalid Fabric Width for GTHE1_QUAD_X0Y0_0- XSDB interface may be corrupted

In the cs_analyzer.log the following messages appear

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ArithmeticException: Division undefined
at java.math.BigDecimal.divide(Unknown Source)
at com.xilinx.chipscope.analyzer.ibertxsdb.v6gth.IbertXsdbV6GthTransceiver.calculateBertParams(IbertXsdbV6GthTransceiver.java:399)
at com.xilinx.chipscope.analyzer.ibertxsdb.v6gth.IbertXsdbV6GthTransceiver.update(IbertXsdbV6GthTransceiver.java:559)"

How do I work around this issue?


This issueoccurs on 12 GT designs. If you reduce the number of GTs in the IBERT design to 8 or 4, you can access the core and debug your channel.

Alternately, if you do not have an IBERT design containing 12 GTs, thenthis issue could be caused by the solutions discussed in(Xilinx Answer 34669)

This issue is resolved in ChipScope Pro 13.2.
