Can I get multiple downloads and licenses of the latest version of WebPACK?
As of November 2015 each user of a Xilinx license account is granted an entitlement to one ISE WebPACK license that is certificate based. Each user will also receive one Vivado WebPACK license that is certificate based as well as one Vivado WebPACK license that is activation based.
According to the end user license agreement (EULA) a user who downloads the license agrees that the license will be used for a single user on a single machine at one time.
If the license file is lost, deleted or otherwise unavailable, a certificate based license for WebPACK can be re-downloaded from the Manage Licenses tab.
A certificate based WebPACK license does not require a host ID and therefore, the generated license file can work on a computer other than the one for which it was generated.
To access a WebPACK license, run the Xilinx License Configuration Manager (XLCM) for ISE or the Vivado License Manager (VLM) for Vivado.
By default, XLCM and VLM will be launched after an ISE DS or Vivado installation completes.
When XLCM or VLM starts, either will allow you to generate and then copy or install the WebPACK license into the proper location.
Activation based (Trusted Storage):
With an activation based license entitlement, a user is required to generate a new request for each machine they would like to use WebPACK on.
In order to place the activation WebPACK license into trusted storage, the request for the license needs to originate from the specific machine where the license will be stored / activated.
If an activation WebPACK license becomes untrusted or is removed from the computer for any reason, the response file may be downloaded again from the Manage Licenses tab.
In order to transfer an activation WebPACK License to another machine, the user should first return the license from the original machine and then request the license from the new machine.
To access an activation WebPACK license, run the Vivado License Manager (VLM) for Vivado.
By default, VLM will be launched after a Vivado installation completes.
When VLM starts, it will allow you to obtain and then load activation WebPACK license into trusted storage.
