13.1 EDK - Is it necessary for the parameters in the Microprocessor Peripheral Definition (MPD) of a core be placed in the Microproccessor Hardware Specification (MHS)?

Description

Do I need to define and/or place the parameters I define in the Microprocessor Peripheral Definition (MPD) in the Microproccessor Hardware Specification (MHS)?

Solution

The parameters you define in the Microprocessor Peripheral Definition (MPD) will be set as the default for your core. You only need to add them in the Microprocessor Hardware Specification (MHS) if you want to deviate from the default values in the MPD.
