Why does the Video Scaler fail to complete the processing of an input frame larger than 2048 x 2048?

Solution

This is a known issue with Video Scaler v4.0 that is to be fixed in Video Scaler v5.0 in 13.3.

This issue is also addressed in the Video Scaler v4.0 Rev2 patch. To obtain the patch, see (Xilinx Answer 41488).
