13.2 EDK - Make: Interrupt/Exception caught (code=0xc0000fd, addr=0x4227d3)

When I am building in SDK, I receive this error:
Staging source files. Running DRCs Running Generate Running include - 'make -s include "COMPILER=mb-gcc"... Make: Interrupt/Exception caught (code=0xc0000fd, addr=0x4227d3) ... Make: *** [microblaze_0/lib/libxil.a] Error 2

This error hastwo causes:

  1. MinGW does not operate properly when any part of the project and/or tools are located in a folder with parentheses ( ) or spaces.
  2. Windows reads the PATH environment variable sequentially, as soon as it finds the executable it is looking for (in this case "make.exe"), it will use it regardless of whether it is the correct file. Other applications might add locations to the PATH variable that have the same executable names that Xilinx requires, for example, make.exe, ls.exe, and sh.exe.

To work around these issues:

  1. Remove any parentheses and/or spaces from your path.
  2. Open a new shell window, clear your PATH variable, for example,"set PATH=" and then run thesettings32 or settings64 scripts; open the Xilinx tools via command-line, for example,"ise", "xps", and "planahead".
