13.2 Kintex-7 GTX IBERT - IBERT Core Does Not Allow CPLL to Run at 6.6 Gbps

Why is it that the Kintex-7 GTX IBERT core does not allow you to run at 6.6 Gbpsfor the CPLL even though the data sheet states it can run up to 6.6 Gbps?

This is a known issue and will be fixed in ISE Design Suite 13.3.To work around the issue, you can run the QPLL at 6.6 Gbps with no issues. The QPLL and the CPLL have some line rates that overlap one another. If you have the choice to use the QPLL or the CPLL for a particular line rate, you will have less noise in your design using the QPLL as it provides a much cleaner clock to your GTX than the CPLL can provide.
