When I try to generate my bitstream in EDK, I get the following errors:
INFO:sim - Generating component instance
ERROR:sim - Could not create temporary directory
synthesis\parallel_run\xst_axi_cdma_0_wrapper\_gc1\'. Please check that the
path is valid, and that you have permission to write to it. The temporary
directory is specified in the CORE Generator Project Options dialog, under
the 'Advanced' tab.
This generally occurs when calling FIFO Generator for IP like the CDMA.
The user is on a workstation that calls the tools on Server-A, and the project on Server-B.
In the case above, servers are:
F:\ is mapped to \\ServerA\Tools
G:\ is mapped to \\cluster1\dos2
When CORE Generator is called, it is trying to make a temporary directory on G:\cluster1\dos2\project\....... This is incorrect, as when called this way it equates to \\cluster1\dos2\cluster1\dos2\project, which does not exist.
A workaround to this problem is to edit the project on your local drive or use the tools on the local drive. This issue was fixed in the 13.4 release of our tools.
