AXI Bridge for PCI Express - Does the bridge need to be setup via the control interface?

The AXI Bridge for PCI Express includes a control interface allowing the user to write to many of the control registers. Do any of control registers need to be written to to place the bridge into normal operation?

Unlike the PLBv46 Bridge for PCI Express, the AXI Bridge for PCI Express does not require writing to any of the control registers. Instead, the bridge is ready to use upon the link being established. To check whether the link is up, read the Link Up bit in the PHY Status/Control Register (Offset 0x144).
