When Running PlanAhead and importing an NGC file, it fails to convert to EDIF and gives the following error:
Unable to create project: ERROR: [EDIF-105] Parse error on or above line 2116425. EDIF file was not written properly by 'Xilinx ngc2edif'
If the ngc is converted with the ngc2edif command via the command line, it converts the file but the format is unreadable to PlanAhead.
This issue has been fixed in PlanAhead 14.4.
Lines in the EDIF file that are causing the problem might look like the following:
591249 (property OFFSET (string IN 5000.000000 pS VALID 5000.000000 pS BEFORE "jtag_tck") (owner "Xilinx"))
591255 (property OFFSET (string IN 5000.000000 pS VALID 5000.000000 pS BEFORE "jtag_tck") (owner "Xilinx"))
Work-around: If constrains from the code are defined in HDL, try moving them into the .ucf file.
