Zynq-7000 AP SoC, Power - Static Current for CES devices is Higher than Reported in XPE Power Estimator

Description

The XC7Z020 and XC7Z045 CES devices static current can be notably higher than what is reported in the XPE Power Estimator.

Note: XPE version 14.5/2013.1 or later is recommended with production silicon (no adjustments are needed).

Solution

For the XC7Z020 CES devices, the potential increase for the static current for each power supply rail is outlined in the table below:

Footnotes:

(1) The percentages shown are based on comparisons of static current reported in XPE version14.2.
(2) XPE version 14.4 (and newer) have increased the static current reported on the Vccpint rail, therefore the increase percentages shown for CES material in the tables above will be conservative.

Impact: Minor. This higher amount is expected of ES devices and it is expected to become lower as the fab process is tuned for production silicon.

Work-around: None.
