2013.3 Vivado - Vivado is not generating the simulation mem files for a system containing a XPS sub-module on Windows

I have a Vivado project that contains an XPS submodule. I have exported to SDK and created the ELF file. I have then associated this ELF file to the processor. However, if I Run Simulation, the mem files are not created.

How can I resolve this issue?

This issue is only seen on in Windows.

To fix this issue, highlight the ELF file in Project Manager, then under Properties, select MEMDATA from the drop-down. In the ADDR_MAP_CELLS property, set this to dut/<processor_name>.

An example is shown below:

Next, Run Simulation, and the mem file should be created.
