On some (typically Windows 7 64-bit OS PCs), if a user selects a generated IP core and clicks "Open IP example design" in the right-click menu, a new project for the IP core is created but only the <core name>.xci is contained in the project; the other files in the example design are not added into the new project.
There is a possible race condition in Vivado Design Suite 2013.3 that will be exhibited on only some systems. The root cause for the issue is before running the new project creating Tcl, the source code of the example design is removed.
Example: In Vivado 2013.3, open_example_design command will do the following steps for an IP core named "cpri_test":
If step 3 finishes executing before step 2 copies the file to the new project, the new project will not have all the needed files.
To work around this issue:
Ex: Tcl: /project_1/project_1.srcs/sources_1/ip/cpri_test/cpri_test_ex.tcl ; cpri_test dir: /project_1/project_1.srcs/sources_1/ip/cpri_test/cpri_test
This issue has been fixed in Vivado Design Suite 2013.4.
