JESD204B - v5.1 - Vivado Synthesis will produce errors indicating that ports do not exist in the transceiver wrapper.

Description

When using JESD204 v5.1 to target GTX, GTH, or GTP version 3.1 transceivers and updating the default transceiver wrapper generated by the JESD204 core, Vivado Synthesis will produce errors [Synth 8-448] indicating that some ports do not exist in the newly created wrapper.

Solution

To resolve this issue you will need to make the following changes:

GTX:

In the jesd204_0_gtwizard_top.v file remove the following ports from the GTX instantiations:

txphaligndone_out and rxcdrlock_out.

GTH:

In the jesd204_0_gtwizard_top.v file remove the following ports from the GTH instantiations:

txphaligndone_out, rxcdrlock_out and rxpmaresetdone_out.

GTP:

When creating the new transceivers, ensure that optional port RXPMARESET is disabled.

This can be found in the Transceiver Wizard GUI under the tab labeled Encoding and Clocking.

In the jesd204_0_gtwizard_top.v file remove the following ports from the GTP instantiations:

txphaligndone_out, rxcdrlock_out, rxpmareset_in and rxpmaresetdone_out.
