When attempting to install Vivado using the web installer from versions 2014.x up to 2015.2, I am asked to provide my Xilinx login information.
After doing this, the login authentication still fails with the following message:
Warning: Unable to validate user's private certificate and connect to the Xilinx download server. Please contact Xilinx customer support or search Xilinx answer record database for possible solutions.
To temporarily workaround this problem, please download the full product installation from http://www.xilinx.com/download.
Or I get the following message:
Warning: Cannot connect to authentication service to verify User ID and Password at this moment. Please try again.
If re-try fails, please contact Xilinx customer support or search Xilinx answer record database for possible solutions.
To temporarily work around this problem, please download the full product installation from http://www.xilinx.com/download.
You must provide a valid xilinx.com (including full export compliance) user ID and password to continue the installation process.
When authentication fails due to an invalid username or password, you should see the following pop-up message.
Invalid User Login Authentication error; Invalid User ID or Password. Please verify your User ID and/or/Password and try again.
Some customers have experienced an issue where the Vivado Web Installer returns a message about validating the private certificate even though their User ID and Password are correct.
In 2015.3 and later versions, you will have the option to bypass the certificate:
Warning: Cannot connect to the Xilinx download service because user's private certificate cannot be verified.
If you wish to continue with this web installer download session, you will need to agree to bypass the user's private certificate by clicking on the "Bypass Certificate" button below. Otherwise, please press Cancel.
An alternative to the web installer, which will not exhibit this limitation, is the full product installer from http://www.xilinx.com/download.
If you receive the above warning messages, you can bypass the certificate to download the files (in 2015.3 and later) or you will need to download a full install image of the web installer instead, in order to install the tools.
