Uninstalling previous version of DocNav will also uninstall the current version of DocNav.
For Example: when I uninstall DocNav 2016.4 (using the Control Panel), it uninstalls the DocNav 2016.4 installation as well as the DocNav 2017.1 installation.
The reverse is true as well.
However, the shortcuts on the desktop and registry entries for the version that was not selected to be uninstalled are still available.
This issue is due to the location where Document Navigator (DocNav) is installed.
All versions of Vivado will install DocNav to the same base location.
Only the latest version of DocNav is intended the be available.
For example, if I Install Vivado 2016.4 to the default directory,
Then when I install Vivado 2017.1,
All shortcuts to DocNav lead to the same program folder, even if the version number on the shortcut is different.
When you uninstall DocNav, whichever shortcut you accessed Docnav through will disappear.Shortcuts with a different version number will be unaffected.
This is because the uninstaller does not search the registry for older entries or for other shortcuts to the removed DocNav.
In this situation, the user should manually delete the shortcuts and registry entries in regedit (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xilinx\DocNav).
Alternatively, if a later (Or any) version of Vivado is installed to the same base directory, the existing shortcuts will again be valid.
