Vivado 2014.1 - Unable to customize ILA after upgrading from ILA 3.0 to ILA 4.0

I instantiate an ILA 3.0 core in my Vivado 2013.4 project.

I then attempt to Migrate the design into Vivado 2014.1.

After upgrading the ILA core from 3.0 to 4.0, I try to customize the ILA 4.0 core.

The core is not allowed to be modified and I receive the following error message:

Validation failed for parameter 'Component Name(Component_Name)' with value 'ila' for IP 'ila'. Component Name cannot be the same as the module name 'ila'.

The problem is due to the name of the ILA core (ila.xci).

In Vivado 2013.4 a user is able to choose "ila" for the name of an ILA 3.0 core.

In Vivado 2014.1, with ILA 4.0, the component name validation function has been modified to check for synthesis model name rather than just checking for vlnv name

If the names match ("ila" in this case) it will not allow the component name.

The Upgrade fails because of the component_name validation failed.

Component_Name validation is checking the name field from the VLNV of the IP.

To work around this issue, delete the current ILA.xci from the project and instantiate a new ILA with a different component name.
